ROBTALKS: Ideas worth spreading

ROBTALKS.COM is devoted to giving millions of knowledge-seekers around the globe direct access to the world's greatest thinkers and teachers. If you'd like to help us, there are many ways you can do this:

1.
Email your favorite talks, speakers and themes to other people. There's a link on each page that makes this easy. Using them is a noble thing. You're spreading knowledge!

2. Join the conversation. Many of the talks are enhanced by the ideas and the conversations that they spawn. Help us by adding your own carefully-thought-out comments to our discussion pages.

3. Host a ROBTALKS.COM session at work. Some of the talks on this site might be of interest to your colleagues. Try hosting a ROB talk for 30 minutes during a lunch break. It's easy.
- Invite some colleagues
- Show one talk that might inspire out-of-the-box thinking
- Follow it with a conversation

4. Host a ROB salon at home. This might be a great way to connect with friends and neighbors.
- Invite half a dozen people around for an evening
- Plan a series of three talks from a theme that interests you
- Curate the conversation that follows, to encourage genuine discussion as opposed to insistent opinion

5. If you're a teacher, consider incorporating ROBTalks into your classes. They are distributed under a Creative Commons license, and are freely available for such use, so long as you credit the source and do not distort the speakers' intended meaning.

6. If you have a blog or website, consider posting a ROBTalk each week and adding your own comment or angle. You can easily post the video player directly inside your blog. It's an easy way to add substantive content to your blog.

7. If you'd like to see these talks made available to more people, you could consider a contribution to the foundation that owns ROB. Please contact us.)

8. If you work for a media company or a technology company, and believe you could help us spread this content to the world, please write to us with your suggestion. We're willing to make the content freely available if the proposal is a good one. Please contact us.

9. If you have a powerful idea of your own that you'd like to share with the world, record it and send it to us. Please contact us for more details. Over the coming months, we'll be adding numerous user contributions to the site. Your talk could end up inspiring people around the world

10. If you do any of the above with exciting results, tell us about it. Others can learn from your experience. Please contact us.

Thank you for helping to spread great ideas!

Where it All Came From!

We have learned to follow the masters, so after a long discussion with a director of a site that creates similar content, we made the decision to JUST DO IT! and start www.RobTalks.com

Special thanks to the creative team at TED, for the inspiration!
